Each of us has individually helped our younger friends gain admission to the nation’s top schools (Ivy Leagues, Stanford, MIT, UChicago, and more), and we banded together over our shared passion for helping younger students.

While we all worked with private college admissions consultants, we realized much of their advice wasn’t tailored to the realities of recent application cycles. Also, they themselves didn’t always go to the most elite schools in the world, and could not help out with the “Why X school” essay the way we needed. So, we analyzed our own essays and extracurriculars and shared the expertise we've gained from our recent, direct collective experience writing hundreds of successful Ivy League+ essays. We then synthesized our findings on the most recent trends on what works and what doesn’t. These are the insights we use to guide our Oaktree students into their top choice schools.
